| Tuning warranty | For two years from purchase, we provide free tuning for changes in sound arising from normal use, with no limit on the number of services. We cover shipping in both directions. Damage caused by drops, dents, modifications or improper storage is excluded. |
| Rental fee | ¥35,000 a month (tax included) for the monthly rental of the Handpan Zero, a recurring contract. It renews automatically each month on the day of the first payment (the last day of the month when that day does not exist), for the same amount; the confirmation email gives the exact date. |
| Rental: other charges | A ¥88,000 deposit, once (held, and refunded after the return and inspection). A late fee of ¥2,200 a day (tax included). Shipping at cost (cash on delivery, and the return sent with the shipping paid, at the carrier's rates; none for a pick-up or a return to the Tokyo studio). Damage and loss amounts as listed in the rental terms (the rental section of our FAQ). |
| Rental: payment | Credit card through Stripe. The first payment (the first month and the deposit, ¥123,000) when you apply; from the second month, charged automatically to the same card on each renewal date. |
| Rental: delivery | Delivered cash on delivery, or handed over at our Tokyo studio, within one week of payment (we arrange a pick-up time by email). The rental starts on the day of delivery or hand-over and renews every month until it is cancelled. |
| Rental: cancellation | To cancel, email hello@handpanstudiotokyo.jp at least 14 days before the next renewal date: the rental ends at that renewal and nothing more is charged. Later notice: one more month is charged and the rental ends at the end of it. Cancelled before dispatch or hand-over: refunded less a ¥22,000 cancellation fee. After dispatch, the first month is not refunded, and months already paid are not refunded on an early return (the deposit is refunded after the return and inspection). The return shipping is yours. | Rental: keeping the instrument | A rented instrument you keep as a purchase cannot be returned for personal reasons, as you have already tried it at length. An initial defect is handled as for any purchase: we provide a replacement or a full refund and cover return shipping. |
